  1. I’m glad to hear that things are going well. The news has been carrying the story of the heat wave hitting Europe so I’ve held you in a cool space in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy this incredible experience together!

    1. Haha! Not a fashion choice – it’s a small daypack. One of those that folds up into its own pocket. I’m very happy to have brought it so he could carry his notebook and jacket without lugging a full-on backpack around.

  2. I also went to England, which is a long way away from where I live. I live in the United States in Charlotte, NC.

England started out as a short stop in London while eventually ending up in Bristol. During the stay in Bristol, there were day trips to scared and spiritual places like Stonehenge and Tintern Abbey among others. I was in England for a pilgrimage- the adult choir at my family church was singing for a week at Bristol Cathedral. We still started in London- I heard the people sing during that short stay. My family went up two days early, and my mom and I saw Les Mis, a dream of mine.

  3. St Martin-in-the-Fields is such a visually simple breath of fresh air after all the overly ornate cathedrals. Lauren attended Christmas Eve service there a few years back and felt the same way.
