We’re still alive, we just don’t have reliable WiFi. And I accidentally burned through an entire month’s worth of data in our first two days here, an extremely costly mistake. So now I’m having to ration my data, which means I have it turned off at all times unless I have to look something up on the map or TripAdvisor or the Tube app. The WiFi in our flat is out tonight so I’ve turned on my data very briefly just to say hello.
We’re having a beautiful time together here, and today was an especially good day – breakfast at a French café chain called “Paul” (how could we not go there?), several hours at the National Gallery (with a break for lunch at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Café in the Crypt), and an absolutely breathtaking performance of “Les Miserables.” Our hearts are so full.
Thank you to everyone holding down the fort back home so that we could be here!
