We spent a little time on Denmark Street yesterday, which used to be the center of the British music industry. Apparently, the little street has changed quite a lot in the last couple of decades, but it’s still lined with music shops, and we really enjoyed our time there.

After we looked at (and played) guitars for awhile, we popped into a shop filled with sheet music for every kind of music and every kind of musician. Before too long, we spotted a familiar sight….

That’s Faber Piano Adventures, by our friends and church members the Fabers! Bowie, the Stones, and Elton John may all be part of this Street’s yesterday, but the Fabers are part of its today and tomorrow.
And we Dukes enjoyed our time there, too.
What a joy to read your posts and see your pictures. I am following right along and loving the armchair travel with you. I so rejoice that this trip is happening. Love and blessings to you four

What fun! I know of Denmark St from a mystery by Deborah Crombie (The Sound of Broken Glass). No violin shops though (I had to check -I used to play the violin).

What a treasure of guitars and sheet music. Do we have an equivalent sheet music store anywhere like this in the US. Ann Arbor needs a store like this with all the music in Ann Arbor. Probably would be a great business opportunity.
